My Favorite Halal Ramen Spot – A Bowl of Artful Wagyu Delight!

shinjukutei shibuya

🍜 Introduction

A Halal Ramen Favorite That Keeps Growing – And Don’t Miss the Karaage!

One of my all-time favorite halal ramen spots is Shinjuku-tei, a popular restaurant that’s been opening new branches across Japan lately.

Most people know them for their signature halal ramen topped with a huge slice of juicy wagyu beef—it’s seriously Instagram-worthy!But what many people don’t realize is… their karaage (Japanese-style fried chicken) is amazing.Honestly, I might even admit—I go there mostly for the karaage! 😆

In February 2025, they opened a new location in Shibuya. It’s in a super convenient area near the Apple Store and Onitsuka Tiger—perfect for Muslim travelers combining sightseeing, shopping, and a satisfying halal meal.

Whether you're here for the beef or the chicken, it's a place where you can enjoy authentic Japanese flavor with peace of mind. 🌸🍜。

shinjukutei shibuya's interior

Since it just opened, the restaurant feels fresh and spotless. The interior features subtle Japanese touches that give it a warm, local charm.I was also happy to see Muslim staff working there—it immediately made me feel more comfortable and welcomed.

Of course, all the food served is 100% halal. Even better, they have a clean prayer room right inside the restaurant—complete with a wudu (ablution)

⭐️ Overall Score: 8.0 / 10

This halal ramen shop is one of my absolute favorites. The wagyu here isn’t just delicious—it’s like a work of art. So beautifully marbled, so tender, it melts in your mouth and your heart at the same time.

For Muslim travelers looking to enjoy authentic Japanese flavors without worry, this place is a must-visit. Every bite reminds me how thoughtful halal-friendly dining in Japan can truly be. 💖

🥢 Halal Ramen I had

Halal Wagyu Ramen Spicy Red Special Set 6600jpy

I ordered their signature set: halal wagyu ramen, wagyu meat sushi, crispy karaage, and a drink.

shinjukutei's ramen

And wow—look at this bowl! It comes with three large slices of beautifully marbled wagyu, each one like a piece of edible art.

Perfectly cooked and tender, the beef melts in your mouth. I chose the spicy broth, which really brings out the rich flavor of the wagyu.

shinukutei's wagyu sushi

The wagyu sushi is seared right in front of you—such a fun performance! And just like the beef on the ramen, it’s incredibly soft and flavorful.

Honestly, I felt like I was being spoiled. Can I really enjoy this much luxury in one meal…?

And then there’s the karaage. So crispy it’s almost shocking!

The inside is juicy and full of flavor. I’ve tried many kinds of karaage—halal and non-halal—but this one is easily in my top two of all time.

It’s a halal-friendly food that anyone would fall in love with.
