🍜 Slurping salt-based ramen in a slightly sketchy underground spot—Yotsuya edition of this popular halal ramen brand!
HALAL WAGYU RAMEN SHINJUKU-TEI Tokyo Yotsuya

🍜 Introduction

I happened to be in the Yotsuya area for a business meeting, so I decided to drop by since I was nearby. This part of Tokyo is more of a business zone than a tourist area, filled with office workers. You’ll even spot quite a few Muslim professionals working at foreign companies based in the area.

So it’s not surprising that this branch caters more to everyday needs than to sightseeing.Let’s head underground and see what kind of ramen is waiting for us today… 🕵️‍♀️🍜

The restaurant is tucked away underground in a busy nightlife area.

It’s a little hard to find—and honestly, I hesitated for a moment before going in. But the big “100% HALAL FOOD” sign at the entrance gave me the confidence I needed to step inside.

⭐️ Overall Score: 8.4 / 10

Right by the door, I also spotted the official halal certification clearly displayed.

That definitely helped calm my nerves. 🌙✨

🍜 Food

🍜 The chicken-based ramen had a clear, flavorful broth that really brought out the richness of the chicken without being too heavy.

I was also happy to see a slice of wagyu beef as a topping—it felt like a little bonus treat!

And the karaage (fried chicken)? Crispy and juicy—honestly, it ranked pretty high for me.

The owner, Ken-san, greeted me with a warm smile, which helped ease my initial hesitation about stepping into this underground spot.

I'm really glad I gave it a try. 💫

🏠 Atmosphere

3.5 / 5

Yes, the entrance feels a bit intimidating, and the restaurant interior is a little dated—but it’s clean and well-maintained.

Despite the limited space, they even had a prayer room available, which I really appreciated.

🥢 Ate Halal Ramen

🍜 I ordered the HALAL RAMEN SHOYU (Soy Sauce) with a set that included 2 slices of wagyu chashu, 5 slices of chicken chashu, karaage, and a drink—for 3,200 yen.

One thing though—the naruto fish cake shown in the menu photo was missing! 😅Apparently it was out of stock that day… a little sad for a Naruto anime fan like me.

Here’s what the menu looked like: there were also other luxurious ramen options featuring wagyu beef as the star.

✨ If you’re visiting as a tourist, I highly recommend snapping a photo while enjoying your ramen.Ken-san, the friendly owner, will happily take one for you!

As for the ramen—it had a delicate yet flavorful chicken-based broth that felt light but still satisfying. The noodles held the soup well, and the wagyu? Melt-in-your-mouth delicious.

But the real winner might just be…the karaage! Crispy outside, juicy inside—it honestly stole the show.I’ve always been a fan of SHINJUKUTEI’s karaage, and now I’m starting to think...Maybe this is actually a fried chicken restaurant that just happens to serve ramen. 😆
